We come bearing good news for the fans traveling to Mumbai to support their favoured Indian Super League (ISL) clubs and watch them lock horns against Mumbai City FC!

The league franchise from Mumbai became the very first club in the history of the tournament to unveil a chunk of their stands solely for away fans during the home matches that are being played at the Mumbai Football Arena. The facility is to be made available at the Islanders’ fortress starting December 17, 2017 for their clash against Atletico de Kolkata.

Commenting on the initiative, Mumbai City FC co-owner and Bollywood heartthrob, Ranbir Kapoor said,

I am really glad that we could be the first team in the ISL to have taken this progressive step towards supporting the fan culture in our country.

The exclusively allocated section for all away supporters will be Stand 4B which will be made accessible to the fans via the main gate 1 and the inner gate 8.

A total of 200 seats of the stands will be allocated to the traveling teams’ supporters' section and the tickets for the same will be available on BookMyShow under a special section starting Tuesday.

MCFC are placed on the 5th spot on the ISL points table at present — register seven points from five games, after winning two, drawing one and losing two fixtures.

Jersey believes more clubs need to follow the footsteps of the Islanders in order to increase the fan culture in the country. Not only does this encourage the traveling fans to step out and support their club, but also gives them a sense of feeling welcome at the stadium at an away game. Now, we don’t mean to say that away fans are priority over the home crowd, but a little banter never hurt nobody!
