Just within a year of the gulf between Indian Super League and Hero I-League, the results have started to be astronomically contrasting. This year’s ISL has turned out to be a disappointing affair so far and the stands have proven to be drastically empty pan India, vis-à-vis the match day attendance in the previous editions. I-League, on the contrary, has conjured magical figures in terms of the spectators gracing the stands to watch their favourite teams dish out gilt-edged performances.

In a tweet, the official twitter handle of I-League read…

The bout between Mohun Bagan and Gokulam Kerala witnessed the highest crowd as the astonishing numbers read 28437.

The second most crowded match was between Neroca FC and Quess East Bengal. Just keeping the fact in mind that this was only the first round, I-League will surely plan a few surprises to beef up their fanbase and gift a copious fanbase to Indian football.
