It is not long ago since Griezmann made the news for making a documentary film to announce his transfer decision of staying at Atletico. The World Cup winning star divided opinions and some even went on to call it disrespectful.

A successful summer followed by a string of good performances for the Roji Blancos has put the forward in the good side of the line for most of his fans. Griezmann alongside Mbappe played a crucial role in helping the Los Bleus to notch up the most prestigious title in the history of world football.

Atletico recently enjoyed a 2-0 win against Juventus in the first-leg of the round of 16 encounter and are currently placed second in the league behind Barcelona.

Griezmann hogged the limelight after a documentary revolving around the meteoric rise of the French striker is set to feature on Netflix. Antoinne has been instrumental for the Europa League winners this season. He was involved in 19 of the 34 goals scored by Atletico in the league. The 27-year-old has logged 13 points for his side this season and considers himself to be the best in the world. He was more than annoyed when he was overlooked for the best European player of the year award.

On the field he is getting it all done for Atletico single-handedly and has decided to take the matter into his own hands off the field as well. Inspired by the PR gimmicks that have secured Balon d’or for few players in the past, (And Griezmann has spoken about it too) it is time for the French forward to create one of his own.

The star player has been in Spain since he turned 13 and it is only his fifth season in the Spanish capital. Despite his importance for this side, it is fair to say that he is quite some way off from being among the greats to have donned on the Roja Blancos' jersey.

Most fans on social media were not impressed with these developments and went on to suggest that he was just a passenger in a phenomenal French team. Though it is too harsh on Griezmann, it is fair to say that he did not carry the French team to World cup glory on his own.

Did I mention? The documentary is set to be titled “The making of a legend”. We will let you know as soon as we get to know which “legend” is set to feature in Griezmann’s comical attempt.
