East Bengal FC have finally secured their fourth International signing, the Australian Chris Payne. Chris replaces the  Kyrgyz International Footballer Ildar Amirov, who played 2 games with East Bengal and now it’s the Australian alongside Willis Plaza and Robin Singh to strengthen their attack force. Chris was supposed to join the Kolkata Giants on 25th January but the schedule got delayed due to the Visa complications. Now the Australian will join his new outfit tomorrow and is most expected to play the upcoming Derby on 12th February.

Before signing with East Bengal, Chris has had ample experience playing in A-League in six different outfits since he made his senior debut in 2008. The 26 year old came into limelight from his 43 match stint with Manly United where he scored 19 goals, before signing for Sydney United 58 FC for a record fee, where he found the net 22 times in 24 matches. The Australian is currently in the best form of his career and East Bengal have a really good deal to capitalize on, given that they’re already donning the league table.
