It has been the talking point of Indian football in the last couple of years that FIFA is going to organise the U17 World Cup in India in October 2017. The final is ought to be held at Vivekananda Yuva Bharatiya Krirangan ,Saltlake, Kolkata which has been the surprise package from FIFA that they have declared the date and time of launching online tickets for this tournament to be May 16, 19:11 hours.


One might think of the uniqueness of the 19:11 hours as the time of launching the tickets. It is something to relish for every Indian Football fan that FIFA has nothing but paid a tribute to Indian Football via the declaration of this' 19:11 hours ' time.


It is known to Every Indian football fan that in 1911 Mohunbagan had glorified the nation by defeating East Yorkshire Regiment by 2 goals to 1 in IFA shield final. This was the first time an Indian  team won a major national tournament.They became the first Indian side to defeat any international team in a competitive game. Abhilash Ghosh and Shibdas Bhaduri were the scorers for Bagan in that game.


The Indian Football Association felt it was important to honour the history of football in India and that occasion in 1911 was certainly a very significant achievement for Indian Football.


Thus, FIFA has come up with the idea to commemorate this feat of Mohun Bagan by launching the online tickets at 19 hours 11 Minutes of May 16.

Mohun Bagan is ecstatic with this announcement, which further enhances the reputation of the iconic club as well as makes a permanent stamp on their supremacy and the greatness of the deed. Though the incident is the biggest moment in Indian Football and played a significant role in Indian freedom struggle. Every true Indian Football fan should be proud of the incident.


On the occasion, Mohun Bagan’s General Secretary took pleasure and deemed the days to be historical that FIFA is recognising Mohun Bagan as a treasure, a heritage. Though Mr. Basu didn't refrain from taking IMG on saying “If FIFA can celebrate the club and its history, why can’t IMG and its partners?”
