Bengaluru FC will be keen to secure all three points when they lock horns against Maziya at Sree Kanteerava stadium on Wednesday. The Federation cup winners will be looking forward to qualify to the next round of the AFC cup continuing the winning streak.

Bengaluru who beat Maziya in the previous fixture by a goal to nil remain unbeaten on all 3 occasions in the AFC cup and are unbeaten at the fortress in all 5 occasions.

Udanta is set to miss out due to an injury from the Federation cup final. However, Khabra and John Johnson are back to the squad after the controversial suspension that both these blues faced. From Rocca’s pre-match presser we learned that Sunil Chhetri is fit and ready to lead the frontline alongside CK Vineeth, who would look to continue in the same vein when he takes to the field on Wednesday. There will be an added responsibility on their shoulders this time. Cameron Watson missed the Federation cup final through suspension, but is expected return to partner Euguenson Lyngdoh in central midfield.

As far as the visitors are concerned, Maziya are the reigning champions of Maldives and would look to surprise the hosts with the counter attack football that they’re famous for.  They have registered four wins in their five matches in the group stages so far and would also eye to top the group stages of the tournament.

Striker Mohamed Umair has been pivotal through the season and is in terrific form. He will be the man to watch out for. Maziya have a really organized team with a solid looking 3-4-3 side that can upset any team though their pressing and counter attacking football. BFC need to be patient and wary of this while they’re confident to vanquish the Maldivians.
