Juan Leadro Vogliotti comes out of Argentina with plethora of experience in professional football. He’s had a long standing career which began back in 2004 with Sportivo Belgrano. He failed to make any appearance at the club and then was snatched up by one of the biggest Argentinean clubs, Club Atletico Independiente where he featured 28 times and managed to score six goals. If there is one downside to Vogliotti, it is the fact that he never managed to stay in a club for more than one or two seasons. He never fulfilled his cause.

Style of Play

Vogliotti played as a Centre Forward predominantly in his career so far. He stands at 5ft, 11in and has quite a built to support his hold up play. He has the knack of collecting the ball and keeping it at his feet until he gets an overlap run wherein he distributes it out to the wingers and runs into the box to get to the other end of the cross. He also makes it a point to showcase his close ball controlling skills now and then. On the whole, he is a perfect number 9 for Delhi and the right man to lead their attack.

The Verdict

With a whopping 13 years of footballing experience, Vogliotti comes out as a great deal for Delhi Dynamos who have been lacklustre in the previous editions of ISL and with him coming off a great season at Sports Boys where he netted 22 goals in 38 appearances, one can expect goals from him right from the first whistle. The Dynamos board seems to be extremely delighted with this signing and are definitely looking to have a good run in come this season. Vogliotti has all the credentials to go on to become the top scorer in this edition of the ISL. Will he live up to where Marcelinho left?
