Two of the biggest football clubs in the Southern India locked horns in a pre-season friendly today which ended with both teams netting two goals each. I-League club Chennai City FC and ISL entrants Bengaluru FC are playing the two much awaited fixtures today and tomorrow at the Bengaluru FC Residential Academy in Vijaynagar, Bellary.

The match kicked off with BFC dominating over the former I-League opponents through deep pressing and typical passing game. Chennai City on the other hand were comprehensive in defence. Even though the match was unofficial, the two sides ensured a power game be played.

BFC ticked the scoresheet through Daniel Lalhampuia before Chennai City equalised through Gurpreet Singh. The other two scorers of the match were the Kyrgyz defender Venyamin Shumeyko and Bengaluru and India NT Captain Sunil Chhetri.
